Overview
Our client is seeking a Medical Billing and Collections Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in US medical billing and a strong understanding of insurance company processes. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage medical billing and collections processes, ensuring timely claims submission and payment.
  • Navigate insurance company portals to follow up on claims, address denials, and handle appeals.
  • Maintain and update records in Theralytics (EHR system) and Excel for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies and other stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with US healthcare regulations and billing standards.
  • Handle additional administrative or billing-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in US medical billing and familiarity with healthcare systems.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Theralytics, or similar) and Excel for data tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
  • Experience with insurance company processes, including claims, portals, and appeals.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred but not required.
